The South Node is one of the Lunar Nodes, where the Moon passes south of the ecliptic.
The meaning of the South Node is associated with something you are moving away from in your life or what you need to let go of. This doesn't necessarily mean it is about something bad, but that you need to grow beyond it, toward the North Node. It can also represent a lesson learned or ability that needs to be moved out of your primary focus and integrated into the background, so that you can move toward something new.
